How to Make Apple Turnovers is a satisfying dessert. It’s the close relative of one of America’s staple, homemade apple pie. However, it is quicker to make and doesn’t require a fork and dish to eat. You can still fix that sweet tooth with this tasty treat.

Ingredients
4 Large Granny Smith apples
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 (17.3 ounce) Pastry puff Pastry sheets or regular pastry sheets
1/2 cup confectioner sugar
1 tablespoon milk
Directions
Peel, core and slice apples.
In a medium saucepan over low heat, cook apples with brown sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice and cinnamon. Stir frequently for 6 to 8 minutes until the apples are tender.
Refrigerate until cool. Now thaw the pastry sheets at room temperature, 20 minutes.
Preheat the oven 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Unfold the pastry on a lightly floured surface. Roll each sheet into a 12 inch square.Then cut into 4 (6) inch squares.
Place 1/4 cup of apple mixture in the center of each square.
Brush the edges with water.
Fold to form triangles and seal edges firmly with a fork or fingers.
Place on baking sheets and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool on a wire rack.
For the sugar drizzle mixed together the confectioners sugar and milk in a small bowl.
With a fork or spoon drizzle over turnovers and allow to sit.
