How to Make Bran Muffins is a recipe to a healthy alternative for breakfast. Did you know that bran muffins are a great source of fiber, vitamin B, Iron, Magnesium, and Manganese. It contains nutrients and minerals needed to keep the body properly functioning.

Yields 24 muffins


Ingredients

2 1/2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 1/2 Teaspoon salt

2 cups crushed bran cereal

1/2 cup chopped dried apple

1/2 cup dried cherries

1 Cup boiling water

1/2 cup softened unsalted butter

1 Cup sugar

1/2 cup honey

2 large eggs

2 cups buttermilk

1/2 cup walnut pieces. 

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F

Line Muffin pan with parchment paper.

In a small bowl, stir flour, baking soda and salt.

In another bowl, combine bran cereal. And dried fruit with boiling water.

In a large bowl, beat butter until creamy. Gradually beat in sugar, honey and eggs.

Add the buttermilk to the butter mixture and beat in.Then add the flour mixture. Now the bran mixture and the walnuts. Divide the batter into the lined muffin pan. 

Baked muffin for 20 minutes.
