How to Make Cream Spinach is a creamy and satisfying recipe. It is very cheesy and flavorful. It is filling but not too heavy. It makes a perfect side dish for any meal.

Serves 6

Ingredients

2 (10 oz.)  Boxes frozen chopped spinach or 2 1/4 pounds fresh leaf spinach

¼ cup flour

4 tablespoons Butter

3 ½ cup half and half

3 cloves garlic, minced

3 teaspoon Salt, divided 

1 teaspoon pepper

1 cup mozzarella cheese

One small diced onion

4 ounces cream cheese

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions

Bring a large pot of water to a boil with two teaspoons of salt.

Add the spinach and cook about 1 minute until wilted

Drain the spinach in a strainer.

Rinse with cold water until cool and squeeze the water out of spinach.

Chop the spinach into a ½ – ¾ inch width. And set aside.

In a large skillet melt the butter with the garlic and onions.

Cook on medium until the onions are translucent.

Add in the salt and black pepper.

Add in the flour and mix over low and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add the half an half and bring to a boil.

Add in the mozarella cheese and cream cheese

Cook until the mixture has thickened.

Finally add in the spinach and the Parmesan cheese and stir to combine.
